Youth Programmes

Huddersfield Lions support young people by recognising their efforts and providing them with opportunities to learn, achieve and grow.

We support Life Skills by providing educational resources for schools to promote personal development.

The Young Ambassador of the 21st Century scheme acknowledges today’s young people working as volunteers and gives them the recognition they deserve through competition both in the UK and Europe.

The Lions Youth Exchange Programme  creates opportunities for young people to visit the UK and sample some of life in a different culture.

The Lions International Peace Poster contest encourages young people, ages 11 to 13, to artistically express their views of peace – the overall worldwide winner’s picture is displayed at the Lions United Nations Day at the UN Headquarters in New York each year.

Lions Young Leaders in Service Awards – These awards recognise young people who provide significant levels of service to their communities. There are two award levels based  on the number of hours they spend helping others.
