Welcome to the Lions Club of Huddersfield

We are the local branch of Lions Clubs International, based in Lindley, Huddersfield

Who are we?

We are people just like you!   Men and women of all ages, wanting to get involved in helping others and having fun! We meet once a month at 7.30 p.m. on the second Tuesday at Lindley Liberal Club, 36 Occupation Road, Huddersfield HD3 3EQ and on the fourth Tuesday, enjoy a variety of other activities. You are very welcome to join us either at a meeting or a social or other event.   Please ring or email before you visit, in case we are not where we are supposed to be!  0845 833 2826 (this is a local number).

What do we do?

We plan events and fundraising activities, support people in need of help and work with local and international charities. We also meet socially for pub meals out, walks, bowling and for the last few summers, we have enjoyed a boat trip on the canal from Mirfield.

What fundraising are we planning at the moment?

Earlier in the year we held our annual Charity Challenge at Beaumont Park and on 02 December, the Santa Dash  will be held in  Huddersfield Town Centre. You can read about all of these on the website and join in those that interest you, collecting sponsorship for your chosen charity or good cause.

How can I get involved?

As well as the fundraising events, we run the coffee bar at the Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court, organise an annual Summer Concert, have a stall at Lindley Carnival, provide fireworks and supper for special needs children at a local school  and this year, for the first time, are planning a Grand Christmas Raffle! We are always looking for people to help us with any or all of these. The menus at the side will give you more details.   If you would like to know more, please contact us by phone 0845 833 2826 (this is a local number). We will give a warm welcome to anyone who would like to visit us at our meetings at Lindley Liberal Club  at 36, Occupation Rd, Lindley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD3 3EQ.
